Many houses collapsed due to violent shakes (Suzu City)

At around 4:10 p.m. on January 1, 2024, a magnitude 7.6 earthquake hit the Noto region of Ishikawa Prefecture with resulting tsunamis. The earthquake caused extensive damages-- buildings collapsed, roads were cut off, and fires broke out in a wide area.
