Activity Summary

We dispatched our staffs to Padang city in one week after the quake and assessed damages and situation of the city and surrounding areas. There were many houses collapsed and flattened out on the ground as most houses in the mountainous area had weak structure in sustaining roofs by concrete walls without columns. Victims were living in fear and anxiety in scarcely remained buildings. Based on our survey, we supported necessary items to victims swiftly.

Victims of the Sumatra Earthquake 2009(approx. 420 families) and approx. 2,000 school children in Padang Pariaman Province
